Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town where she was raised as a child. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder believes she is Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino, California, when Ryder was just seven. There, they didn't have electricity. Ryder, who was an avid reader aged 12, became a bookworm because Ryder did not have access to television. When she turned 12 Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Ryder landed her first film role on the large screen in 1986 at the age of 15 young. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her teenage years. Ryder hoped her career as an actress would bring about change. However, it didn't happen. The actress continued to chase her ambitions. In 1988, she received her breakthrough role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder kept playing successful roles in a variety of films. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her part on The Age of Innocence (1993).
