Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B for a distinctive blend. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, in the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine's the name of Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career playing piano and singing in church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The first track to showcase her vocals was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12; since then it has been re-mixed and is now element of her set. She also contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was employed as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
